General and Mrs Round were good friends of my parents in Sarasota. General Round and my father were West Point classmates and served as Assistant Division Commanders in the 25th Infantry Division together. My parents had the highest regards for the Rounds and until the later years, enjoyed visiting with them. The Rounds will always be remembered with deep affection in our family.

Condolences from the Jackley family, your dad was a great man and such a good friend along with your mom to my parents and family for over 60 years. May Larry and Ros have many great conversations in eternity.

It was a distinct honor, and pleasure to have had the, once in a lifetime experience to have met such a special person as General Round. He was a man motivated by love of his family, country, truth, and honor. Such an incredible man makes the rounds only once during this generation, and by a very fortunate stroke of luck I had the honor of a lifetime to meet him, and call him a FRIEND!
My profoundest sympathies to his entire family, including his wonderful daughters Fran, and Julie, your family has lost a very precious gem. His memory will sparkle eternally. . &❤
