Thank you so much for the music. I met you in a tiny club in Detroit in 1975. You were kind enough to sit with my wife and I for a while, during a break. What a thrill and memory.
The Platters were transcendental, there will never be another group who delighted me as much. RIP

I was 15 years old and seen the original Platters at the Macomb Theatre in Mount Clemens, Michigan. The music is the best ever and will last forever. Sympathy to all family and friends.

I toured Italy in 1958 and appeared in a film with the Platters called Europa Di Notte,lovely people and a fantastic vocal group,i was then with a rock band called Colin Hicks and The Cabin Boys,God bless you Herb,il'e never forget you all.Brian Gregg..

Herb Reed was a very dear friend of many, many decades. He fondly remembered our first meeting and that he babysat for my partner of two years old while his parents were performing! Herb was a great "Spades" player and we always loved spending time with him and sharing stories and laughs! "My Prayer" is that you are in heaven and have reunited with the other Platters. You pioneered the sound of the Platters and I will always remember you!
