Dearest cousins: Steve, Filomena, Sammy, Gianni and Tony....
.... Zia Tattella will remain forever in my heart as She has been to this day.
Of the few weeks I spent with all of you in 1981 and 1990, I have a clear and wonderful memory today:
All of you have been affectionate with us..
but
Zia Tattella was a well of sweetness and attentions.
She filled with "love" all the things She did:
I still remember... those small pieces of square bread firing in the kitchen below in the basement ..
. or the jars of tomatoes or other vegetables that she cultivated in her garden behind the house.
She loved children.so .. so much that sometimes She was also a babysitter ... !!
Maybe someone else after pulling on 5 kids ... would have rested a bit ..
but not her ... Not Aunt Tattella!
the funny stories of her little misadventures when She did not know language well ... make us laugh today ..:
she told us about . when someone asked her ... "the spoon" ... but she did not know what spoon meant
and since in Italian that word looks like "sponge" ...
she took the sponge believing that there was something to clean.
Aunt Tattella and Uncle John were the " PERFECT PICTURE OF LOVE " ...
and now THEY will be very very happy to be together again.
....Bye dear Zia Tattella, I will jealously keep all memories about you in my heart ...
no matter how far you are ....
memory and love do not know the kilometers ....
dear cousins an immense hug to you and to all your families .
I love you!
bye
