Caliguire, Frank A.; age 86; of Taylor; passed away June 16, 2014. Beloved husband of Carol. Loving father of Charla Caliguire, Steve (Zetta Scaranda) Caligiuri, Al (Sheila) Caliguire, Marissa Caliguire, Rosemarie (Jerome) Janisse, Carolyn (Tom) Sauve and Michael (Fabiana) Tapp; proud grandfather of Lara, Sonya, Jasmin, Renee, Salina, Briana, Logan and Grant. Frank was a humble, clever man whose great love was the piano, learning to play by putting his fingers on the keys of a player piano. After formal training, he was well known in the Downriver area as a piano tuner and technician; had several piano inventions on the market, taught and composed music and enjoyed family musicals in his home. As a young man, he played in Detroit clubs with his friends. An Italian, his second love was spaghetti and insisted on having it often. His humorous personality was infectious but serious, helping those who confided in him. He was a veteran, entering the Air Force at 18. Always industrious, he retired from Conrail in 1990 but continued piano tuning for many years. We will miss him dearly. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to Seasons Hospice Foundation. Many thanks to those who assisted in his transition.
