Today is your birthday Ben. 25 years ago I received a gift from God. Continue to watch over your brother, and friends who miss you desperately. Dad and I love you.
I only knew you for a short time as a fellow classmate at JMC during our senior year. But you certainly made a long lasting impression! You always had such enthusiasm and curiosity while remaining open minded to new ideas. Although all of us went our separate ways after graduation, I had imagined you to be in law school or working for a community based organization; work that was meaningful and going to make the world a better place.
Eternal rest grant unto him and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Thank you for our friendship and memories. You are missed and loved.
Dear Will and Mr. and Mrs. Harning,
Words cannot describe how sorry I am for your loss. Ben's enthusiasm to change the world for the better is one of the reasons I am where I am today. His courage gave me courage to apply for the teaching program I still currently serve. I am forever indebted to him for that. The world lost a good man, along with your son and brother. I hope you can find peace after this tragedy.
Dear Mike, Ellen & William,
We are all so sadden by the loss of Ben. We loved him very much and will cherish all the wonderful memories we have of him. You raised a very nice, polite, friendly, well mannered young man who was always welcome in our home. His smile & laugh will be missed.
Know that you are in our hearts and our prayers. May God keep you strong.

Dear Mike, Ellen and William, I am extremely saddened to hear of the loss of your beautiful beloved son Benjamin. I know that your hearts are very heavy at this time. I ask that God send ministering angels to be with you at this time and that the mantle of Mary cover you all with her mercy and love.
Mike you had recently been in my heart wondering how you and your family were doing. I will lift you all up in my prayer. I lost my twin when he was 24 tragically and so I understand how hard this time is. Benjamin will always live in within your hearts and is now in the loving embrace of Jesus Christ Our Lord. Most sincerely, Janie and Tony King
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Harning,
We are so very, very sorry for the loss of your son. Our family is thinking about the both of you and praying for all of you, too.

Ellen and Mike,
My prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time. I lost my beloved husband this year and I cannot somewhat understand what you are going through. But, no one should ever have to lose a child. Only God knows why. It seems he took a lot of good ones home this year. May they all rest peacefully in his loving arms. Sue Dougherty
