CRISSY, I AM SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS. MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHT ARE WITH YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY
SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS DENNIS WAS A GREAT MAN. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FROM MYRTLE BEACH SC. MIKE SHEVNOCK [MIKES PARTY STORE , FORT STREET 1972-1999]
Sorry to hear of your loss. Thinking of your family.
Don and Rae Ann Tanner
Dennis' sudden passing sent shock waves rolling throughout our block and neighborhood. I, along with my parents and younger sister used to live across the street from Dennis, his wife Christy, and kids Mark, Kelly, Denny, and Eric. As neighbors, we made a lot of really nice memories, from backyard sleepovers in the camper to just shooting the breeze talking about our daily lives. As mentioned, it is those moments that we will never forget. To this day, we remain very close friends.
You were (and still are) a one of a kind guy that showed care and compassion to everyone you met, and never complained if someone asked you for a favor. The same dedication that you presented toward your family you also presented toward others you knew as well. Our hearts ache knowing that you are no longer among us here on Earth, but are hopeful to see you on the other side someday.
Take care, my friend,
Josh McDonald & Family

To Christy and the entire family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dennis may have been known by his HS buddies as "Ozz", but at Michigan State he was known as "Harvey". We roomed together for 4 years there and had some times during those "wonder years". Harv, You will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. Enjoy your next journey my friend.

I am Cheryl's older sister. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family.
To the entire family:
Our condolences to you. I remember playing pickle in the backyard on Balfour and also the great skating rinks that would appear in the winter. Dennis had such a good heart and a warm smile. I am sure he carried that through his entire life.
Dennis was a classmate of mine at Aquinas HS, class of '71. He was quiet, mild mannered and a model student. He was also a standout athlete. Truly a class individual all the way around. The profession he chose as a Southgate Police Officer was befitting his character. It was an honor to call him a friend. It's a real shame to lose someone like him so young. The "Raider family" lost a good one there. Knowing Dennis, I'm sure he will still be keeping a vigil over us all, just from a little higher vantage point now. Thanks, "Ozzie"...RIP, my friend.
We went to school at St. Cyrils grade school together not APHS like I said before. I forgot he moved away later.
I was shocked when I logged on the the News Herald and saw Dennis' obituary. I lived right behind Denny on Agnes St. until we moved to Florida in 1988. I will have a heavy heart. Denny was one of the nicest friends I ever had.
To the family, I will remember you in my daily rosary.
So Sad, Too Young, Dennis RIP we will miss the time at APHS Class of 1971
I remember Dennis. I considered him a friend. He did leave us too early! God rest his soul!
Will always miss you "Ozz".Peace to family and friends.Thoughts, prayers:Mark Diroff and Family.
Our sympathies to the Assenmacher Family. Dennis will be remembered for his kindness and generous spirit that he shared with people everyday. He was a good man and will truly be missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family
