When my children were little we went to Cal Worthington in Long Beach, CA and the four of them were put on top of a huge elephant and rode around the car lot --- much to the delight of Cal himself who happened to be there. They are grown now, parents, grandparents and still talk about that huge huge elephant and the fun they had. Rest in Peace, Cal you will be missed by many. Thanks to your family for sharing you with all of us all of these years. God Bless you all.

Hey! I remember Cal Worthington, I used to watch his commercial on LA channel from Long Beach. Remember him riding a bull on one of those commercials. I was station at Edwards AFB, about 80 miles east of LA, close to Lancaster, from 1960 to 1964. Rest in peace Mr. Worthington.

What an accomplished man. To think that he was just recently piloting his plane from Alaska home to CA. Cal was bigger than life and lived every day to its fullest. He has left a wonderful legacy to his children and his children's children. There should be more Cal Worthingtons in this world. He will now begin a new chapter.
