HILLSDALE - Lee Mitchell Hubbell of Hillsdale, Michigan passed away on Saturday July 16, 2016 at Drew's Country Living. He was born on October 9, 1946 in Reading, Michigan to Everette and Clara (Southwell) Hubbell.
Lee is survived by his wife, Cindy (Bolenbaugh); two children, Karry (Amy) Hubbell and Nikki (Harvey) Hubbell; four grandchildren, Brady, Kayla, Jennifer, and Damian; three great grandchildren, Zella, Gavin and Kane; and one brother, Hugh (Betty) Hubbell.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; one son, Tracy Hubbell; and two sisters, Evelyn Cole and Grace Tervol.
Lee served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 53 in Hillsdale, the Loyal Order of Moose of Hillsdale 921 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Coldwater 1907. Lee retired from Hillsdale Community Schools after several years and enjoyed music and dancing especially later in his life.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Lee Mitchell Hubbell will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Harvey Gordon officiating. At his request cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday July 19th from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Hillsdale County.
