I have very fond memories of Ken, who was my teacher and coach at Hudsonville. He was also one of three people who steered me toward Hope College. Ken was always fun to interact with and will surely be missed. God Bless his family. Bob Serum, Ph.D. [email protected]

Ken was a fine example to the many young men he encountered throughout his career. There was never a harsh word, always a smile and an encouraging exhortation. His former students may remember, "Come on, men! You can't sit and be fit!" RIP, Coach.

Ken was one of four friends who began their careers teaching at Holland High School, coming out of Hope. Ken and the other three fellows - Zeke Piersma, Dick Darby and my father embarked on many camping adventures, including Isle Royale and the Boundary Waters. They enjoyed each other's company so much. Ken, we'll miss you - you fought the fight, finished the race and kept the faith!

Blessings, Dirk Bloemendaal, Jr.

Ken was truly a gentleman who walked his talk. We send our sympathy to Nora, Ken and Julie and their families. From The Tom Carey family.
