James A. Flynn (In Memoriam)
(September 12, 1928 - May 21, 2010)

U.S. Veteran
James A. Flynn, 81, formerly of Wyomissing and of Denver, PA, died May 21, 2010 in Lancaster General Hospital.

His wife, Joan C. (Marcroft) Flynn, died February 24, 1987.

Born in Harlem, NY, he was a son of the late James A. and Marie T. (Daly) Flynn.

He was a Korean War veteran, serving as Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy.

James earned his BS degree in Engineering from SUNY, Maritime, Bronx.

He was a nuclear engineer for the New York Power Authority.

James was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes, New Holland.

He is survived by five children, James A., Coopersburg, PA, Jeff E., Palm Coast, FL, Sharon M. Westfall, Oxford, NC, Janet T. Flynn, Montoursville, PA and Rob, New Milford, CT. One sister, Janet T. Shea, Granville, OH, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive him.

I will never be able to thank my father and all other veterans enough for all they have given this country. They have protected all that is dear to me and they are all heros in my eyes. We are laying him to rest by his fellow servicemen and women where he belongs. We will miss you and love you so much. Rest in Peace you old soldier.
