Antoine Foret Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church. Military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church by the United Veterans League. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Uzee Foret; children, Jacinta F. Wisinger and husband, Timothy "Tim" Wisinger, and Vernon J. Foret and wife, Lillie B. Foret; grandchildren, Jude J. Foret and wife, Jennifer Becnel Foret, and Drake M. Foret and companion, Tarrasa Savoie; sisters, Joyce Foret Uzee and husband, Dickey Uzee, and Louise Foret Landeche and husband, George Landeche; and sister-in-law, Ann L. Uzee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nurcie Foret; mother, Una Foret Foret; brother-in-law, Melvin Uzee; and niece, Angie Uzee.
Antoine served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired school teacher and owner/operator truck driver. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Vernon, Lillie, Aunt Maryanne and family, Randy and I are praying for your and your whole family at this difficult time. Sorry we were in Minnesota and could not make the funeral. We love you. May God strengthen and comfort you and give you His Peace...I know Uncle Tony is already in Heaven, a new guardian angel to watch over all of you! Again, so sorry we were not able to get to Raceland. He was a wonderful man who suffered so much! We will miss him and keep his memory alive in our hearts.--Robyn and Randy White

Jude and Jen, your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest sympathy goes out to you Jude, as Jen told us how close you were to your grandfather. I pray that you and your family have closure and find peace in knowing that he is with The Lord now and will never again have to feel or know any kind of pain and suffering. I assure you that he has already become your strongest guardian angel! Love you guys!
