Lucy Cunningham Obituary

Lucy Davis Theriot Cunningham, of Katy, Texas, was born Sept. 25, 1913, and was formerly of Houma and New Iberia, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, shortly before her 100th birthday.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church located at 409 Funderburk Ave. in Houma. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She was the wife of Joe Theriot and later J.C. Cunningham, both deceased. From her first marriage she had five children, Gene Theriot, of Albuquerque, N.M., Kathleen "Kitty" Theriot Cox, of Katy, Texas, Jim Theriot of Katy, Texas, Margaret Theriot Porche, of Many, and Bill Theriot, of Anderson, S.C. She left a legacy of 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She enjoyed a long career as a primary school teacher in the Terrebonne Parish school system.
