Felix McElroy Obituary
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Monday, Jan. 26, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Lucinda Chaisson McElroy: sons, Felix "Joe" McElroy Jr. and wife, Trisha, Randy McElroy and wife, Teresa, and Glenn McElroy and wife, Missy; daughter, Monica Chauvin and husband, Doug; grandchildren, Daniel McElroy and wife, Samantha, Michael McElroy, Christina McElroy, Meghan McElroy, Randy McElroy Jr., Heather McElroy Howey and husband, Cliff, Marcus McElroy and fiancee, Jenny, Danielle McElroy Harrelson and husband, David, Devin McElroy Killpack and husband, Max, Nicole McElroy Fanguy and husband, Jake, Douglas "D.J." Chauvin III and wife, Lindsey, Clarke Chauvin and wife, Emily, and Jeffrey Chauvin; great-grandchildren, Shaelee and Kaelynn McElroy, Leighanna McElroy, Kaylie McElroy, Tucker, Makynna and Reed Harrelson, and Fiona and Maxwell Killpack; and godchild, Ann Lirette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ophelia McElroy; brothers, Earl, Victor and Carson; and sisters, Ruby LeBouef and Odit "Dee" Gautreaux.
Felix proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a master plumber for most of his life and an extremely hard worker. He helped anyone in need.
He was the life of the party, and everyone who knew his knew his fun side and his love of practical jokes. He also loved to dance, laugh and fish.
He will be missed by all, but has left many fabulous memories for everyone to cherish.

Mr. Felix was such a wonderful person. He never failed to make me laugh every time I saw him. I am so sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family & friends. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
