There is no one, no one, that can hold a candle to you, Jonathan Frid. No actor that can even come close to touching your portrayal of our beloved Barnabas Collins. I too was glued to our TV as a child, mesmerized by that which could only be Dark Shadows. Collinswood is still there in my mind, surrounded by darkness and fog. I can still hear and see the waves crashing against the rocks. I don't so much as see you floating towards the pearly gates, as much as I imagine you, with your cape on, clutching your cane, holding us in your eyes one more time, and then turning into the fog and slowly fading from our sight. I will CONTINUE to miss you Mr. Frid. You and Barnabas will always have a special place in my heart and mind. Thank you from a long time childhood fan, and I'd also like to thank your family for sharing you with the world. Peace to you always.
