Janet Toups Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James ""Jimmy"" Toups; son, James ""Bee"" Patrick Toups and wife, Alicia, of Gray; daughter, Jody Elizabeth Toups Dupre and husband, Troy, of Houma; grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Dupre, Stephanie Ann Dupre, Beau James Toups, and Joshua William Hensel; and sisters, Patricia Poiencot Sanchez and husband, Roberto, Sandra Poiencot Duplantis and husband, Murray, Katherine Poiencot LeCompte and husband, Franklin, Kathleen Poiencot Brunet and husband, Theodore, Debra Poiencot Bollinger and husband, Kenney, and Cheryl Poiencot Poiencot and husband, Virgus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan Joseph Poiencot and Clemence Marie Chaisson Poiencot.
Janet was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic church. She enjoyed crafting, traveling, and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC.
