Mother Corine Tucker Oliver-Glenn, 97, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Tallahassee FL.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. at Tabernacle M.B. Church with burial at Southside Cemetery. Wake service will be Friday, June 20, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at Strong & Jones Chapel
Mother Glenn was a member of Free Spirit Ministries and a former member of Tallahassee #1 & Fifth Avenue Church of Christ Written in Heaven. She gave her support to pastors, churches, soloists, choirs and quartets in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, George W. Oliver; two daughters, Mary Oliver Austin and Claudia Young; one sister, Maggie Tucker; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.

I thank God for this lady, she kept me encourage to seek the Lord, and I'm glad she did. Every where I went for church she was right there, her favorite words: Sing children!!! I'm going to miss so much!!! Haven has another angel!!!!

My sincerest condolences to all of the Glenn family. I have so many great memories of Corine and your family, THANK YOU so much for sharing her with all of us Fleets. She was like a second mother to me and my siblings -- always so full of life and funny, inspiring and warm (unless we messed up, and then yes, she let us know, but always in a loving and teaching way.) She was always genuine and without any pretenses. I wish I could be in Tallahassee for the services, and hope that you will take comfort in each others' company, sharing fond memories and realizing how many others Corine touched in such a positive way.

TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND ASSOCIATES OF MOTHER CORINE GLENN
Holy greetings unto you. Mother Glenn will truly be missed. It did not feel right, during the last few visits I made to Free Spirit, when I did not see Mother Glenn in the building.
She was a very dedicated, outspoken, loveable person who had a great passion for the church, gospel singing groups, and soloists. She encouraged my group of young people (Youth on the Rise in Christ). She made them feel as though they were professional singers.
I thank God for allowing Mother Glenn to cross my path of life. She inspired me in so many ways.
Please keep the good memories of Mother Glenn in your hearts and she will be with you until the end.
Remember, in all you do, keep God first and continue to pray.

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel. Mother Glenn was a mother to us all and when you lose someone you love, it seems that time stands still.
