Rubinoff Our Beloved Mother, Darlene Azar Rubinoff entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2012 at 85 in Houston, Texas. Darlene, a native of Columbus, Ohio, was 1 of 8 children and was preceded by her parents, Charles and Ethel Conrad. Darlene, a distinguished modern woman, always strived for knowledge. She attended Ohio State University, Rice University and St. Thomas University. Widow of Philip Azar, restaurateur of Tri-Mi Pizza in Columbus, Ohio. Mother of 8 children, an inspiring Grandmother of 12 and Great Grandmother of 7, who called her "Great Great". Darlene Azar Rubinoff was also the Widow of the legendary Violinist Maestro David Rubinoff. Our beloved Mother had a humorous and dynamic personality. She excelled as an author and writer of 5 novels:

Darlene has touched and inspired many lives over the years and leaves many who loved her, together with her 8 children: Diane Azar Hedlesten, Dilores Azar, Philip H. Azar II and Lisa Lim, Darlene "Dolly" Azar McKirgan, Michael Charles Azar, deceased, wife Martha Azar, Mark Anthony Christian Azar and wife Michele Azar, Jimmy Conrad Azar, and Robert Franklin Azar and Erica King. Darlene's 12 grandchildren: Nickoel Azar Uhlmer and husband Brian Uhlmer, Gigi Hedlesten Oglesby and husband Stephen Oglesby, Aaron Azar, James Hedlesten, Mark Joseph Azar and wife Shelby Azar, Michael Azar, Natasha Mendiola, Jake Railsback, Miranda Gunn, Philip Azar, and Sarah Azar; her 8 great grandchildren: Reagan Hedlesten, Brianna Uhlmer, Alexandra Oglesby, Alicia Azar, Alexys Gunn, Brox Uhlmer, Henry Oglesby and Lynkinn Azar. Darlene loved her family above it all.
Father Milad Yaghi, Pastor of Our Lady of Cedars Maronite Catholic Church of Houston, Texas, will officiate the memorial service, the Rosary and the celebration of Darlene's life on Monday, December 24, 2012, at 2:00 P. M. at 3 Magnolia Bend Drive for her Family and close Friends. For more information, please call 713.922.5000 for directions.
Our Mother's funeral service will be held in Columbus, Ohio where she will be buried next to her beloved husband, Philip H. Azar.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Cedars Maronite Catholic Church, 11935 Belfort Village Dr., Houston, Texas 77031.
The Clock of Life is
wound but once
and no man has the power
to tell just when the
hands will stop,
at late or early hour.
Now is the only time
we own love, live, toil
with a will, do not
wait until tomorrow,
for the Clock may
then be still.
