My nephew, Eric was my only nephew. I loved him like a son. I helped raise him with my mom. We didn't always get along, he was as hard headed as I was. My daughter, Devin and I spent time with him earlier in the year when his mom was so ill. Watched The Big Bang Theory a lot and he laughed so much. I'll always remember his laughter, his whole face lit up. He was having much difficulty ever since my mom passed away. I don't think he ever recovered. I hope he is at peace now. I miss him so much and always will. I love you Rico, please rest in peace, now.

I am truly saddened by Eric's death and my condolences go out to his family. Eric was a great friend and some of my fondest memories come from hanging out with him and the gang back in the days! Eric, Lee, Crawdad and Kenneth were like my brothers. We were the best of friends. Thanks for always looking out for me, my dear friend. Rest in peace Eric, you will be missed.

Eric was so much more to me than a friend, Eric was my brother. I will always cherish the times we spent together watching the races, football games, spending holidays and vacations together. It is going to be hard not having you around, it will never be the same. You always had a smile on your face and always cracking jokes. I love you Eric and you will be so greatly missed by me and my entire family. Rest in peace my brother until we meet again.

I'm still in shock & can't believe that you're really gone. I have such fond memories of hanging out with you, Lee & the gang. We all had some great times. What sticks in my head the most is when we'd all pile in your VW Bug like a punch of clowns & you'd cruise us all over Houston. I know you & I didn't always see eye to eye because you & I always wanted to be right & have the last word. I haven't seen you in years but we always did talk every couple of years to catch up. You will be missed & very loved by so many. I find comfort in knowing that your at peace & very happy now. Now you get to be with your Grama & Mom that you missed so much. Please tell your grama that I said hello. RIP Eric & I will see you on the other side. Love you dear friend!

I met Eric in 1994. After that, he was either visiting at our house(David and alex's s) or we were visiting over his house. Later on Eric became a bigger part of my life and family when he was there when my Daughter Alexa had a seizure, Eric was there, when David and I couldn't be. After that my daughters knew Eric as "uncle Ellie" as they were too young to say Eric. I will miss him calling to tell me to come over and eat because he was barbecuing or making a stew. Also I'll always remember the time I went to an Astros game with him. Ii'll remember he would be surprised I when I called him on his birthdays and thank me for calling him on valentines day, I will never forget Eric, his smile, his generosity and of course when my daughter's life counted on it I will always be in debt to him.

Prayers go out to family and friends. Even though I didn't know Eric long his sweet and kind attitude was addictive and he truly will be missed. I promise to scream extra loud for you when watching the races with Jeff no Mel while wearing my Tony Stewart shirt. May you rest in peace until we meet again.

Although it has been many years since I'd seen him, I remember his smile like yesterday. My prayers go out to family and friends, as I know we were blessed just having crossed paths with Eric. I know his smile will live on in Heaven.
