What a sad surprise to see that Dr. Jackson died this week. My parents and Ira and Ginny were dear friends and colleagues. They are long gone, so consider this a dear farewell from George and Lari Ehni. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences to all the family. Ira impacted my life dramatically by his relationship with Stuart and Rosalie--Without him--they would have never come to KC--my life would have been significantly different had that not occurred. Your parents lived an extraordinary life and impacted so many in very different ways. Candee

Dr. Jackson performed emergency surgery on my son, Kyle W. McElveen, in February 1981 after an extended bolt from a swing penetrated his right temple. Following the surgery, Dr. Jackson said, "Your son will be fine. He's very lucky that he wasn't paralyzed and you won't have to worry because he'll never be in the armed services." How true this was because the military would not accept Kyle due to his previous head injury. Dr. Jackson was soft spoken, an excellent surgeon, and had wonderful "people" skills. I have always been very thankful that he was able to take care of Kyle. My sympathy and prayers are with the family during this sad time. May our Lord give you the PEACE that will enable you to say farewell to your father and grandfather...knowing that one day, you will be reunited with him in Heaven.
