Barbara and family:
I am sorry I was unable to join you and the family in the celebration of Rudy's life. He was a great husband, father and friend to everyone he met. I always enjoyed our lively discussions on topics of interest. Our condolences and prayers for the family and friends who have lost a hero.

I have so many wonderful memories of times with Rudy,Barbara,Forest and Sherwood. My daddy and Rudy were best buddys. I can remember daddy speaking of Rudy and always saying Good Buddy in greeting or saying bye Good Buddy. Those words were always spoken when they would be together. I loved Rudy, he always seemed so tall to me and gave great hugs. He is with my daddy in Heaven and having the time of his life with his Good Buddy, Bob Walker my Daddy.

I must say, Uncle Rudy's service would have made him smile. Our family really showed their love, as well as their minister, the servicemen's 21 Gun Salute, speach of his military career, giving the flag to Aunt Barbara, and Little Woody's brave words spoken.

I learned so much I hadn't known about Uncle Rudy, being a B24 pilot in WWII, how he met Aunt Barbara, his hunting and fishing notoriety to say the least. The family get together afterward filled their home with love from family and friends and an over abundance of dishes and desserts. It was the best service I could possibly have imagined, and done exactly as he requested.

I love Uncle Rudy so much and will forever remember all the years of fun as I miss him until we meet again.
