Blake, We are so sorry for the loss of your father. We were very moved by the memorial service, and we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts.
Peggy & I are thinking of you in your time of sorrow. We send our deepest condolences to you and your loved ones.
I was honored to be Mr. Tartt' s secretary. Through him I learned so much. My favorite memory was seeing him in action during a long, difficult trial. He was brilliant. When I introduced my future husband to him he interrogated him thoroughly. To our great relief he passed and received the Blake Tartt seal of approval. Mr. and Mrs. Tartt graciously opened their beautiful home and gave me the wedding every girl dreams of. For that I am eternally grateful. Barbara, Blake III and Courtnay, I am so sorry and send my love. Mr. Tartt was so proud of you and loved you deeply.
Barbara, I always have appreciated yours and Blake's friendship from the time - wow - nearly 50 years ago - when I was an associate at Fulbright. My thoughts are with you.
Thinking of you and remembering you in my prayers.
Blake was a wonderful mentor and friend to me at F&J. I am certain he was the main force behind the firm taking such exceptional care of me and my family when Emma was born and we went through so much. He welcomed me back to work with open arms and challenging work, and I will never forget his many kindnesses. My thoughts are with his family and dear friends.
I am one of the many lawyers mentored by Blake. I learned a great deal from him and grew as a lawyer because of the example he set. I will always fondly remember his patience, insight and kindness. To his family, please accept my condolences. I am so very sorry for your loss.
May God bless, keep and comfort you during this time of such a great loss to you and your family. Mr. Tartt will be greatly missed.
May God give you the strength during these times.
I worked for Mr. Tartt at Fulbright & Jaworksi on the Commercial Litigation team in the late '80s. I admired and respected him. He gave me a tremendous opportunity to work with him and other great attorneys from F&J on the Phillips Explosion case. A great mentor and leader; he will be missed. My sympathies to his family on their loss.
Blake was a lawyer of national repute and distinction and a gentleman of the highest order. We shall miss him and what he stood for in our profession and in the community.
I am so sorry for your loss. Although I never had the privilege to meet Mr. Tartt personally, I was revered with countless stories from my late husband John Kirby, Blake's Kinkaid classmate and longtime friend. John spoke with great admiration and respect of Mr. Tartt's inspiring and commanding presence. He remarked how elegant and lovely Mrs. Tartt was at every given moment, and remembered fondly the great memories and camaraderie he shared with Blake. His words painted a picture of a loving and beautiful family. What a blessing to have such a wonderful man as a husband, and a father. You're all in my prayers.
Blake was a wonderful colleague and friend at Fulbright & Jaworski. May his soul rest in peace.
He was a wonderful guy, and we were pleased to know him if only for a relatively short time. Our fondest thoughts, Barb, to you and your family. Claire and Jim Allen
Mrs. Tartt and family - Blake only knew me through State Bar work but I have never forgotten his kindness to me as a younger lawyer. His words spoken to friends of both of us changed my professional life in so many wonderful ways. He will be missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Love, The Whalley Family - Mary, Greg, Katie and Nick
Barbara, I will miss Blake as he was, as you know a "lawyers lawyer" and a mentor to so many of us. He would make and take the time to offer advice to those of us wise enough to seek his counsel. Blake was a friend and trusted advisor. The ABA provided us to be in each other's company while serving the bar. Blake will be missed but clearly, he will not be forgotten! Dennis W. Archer, former ABA President 2003-04.
Courtnay and Blake - All of us at Kinkaid admired your parents greatly when you were students there. Your father was, indeed, a excellent role model and a fine gentleman.

I just heard the sad news. I'm so sorry. I sure enjoyed knowing your father for as far back as I can remember. In fact, I have not a memory without him in it.
