Unfortunately, I just found out the other day that Dario was lost. Dario and I were buddies on the Fish Drill Team before he left for the Military Academy. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed. Gig 'Em! - LCDR Steven Deputy '92
I met Dario at Texas A&M through his wonderful sister, who was my roommate for two years. They say only the good die young, and in this case it is all too true; Dario was a positive force who made everyone around him feel good. I lost contact with the Lorenzettis during his career but am not surprised to read of his bravery and service to our country. Godspeed, Dario...you are with your mother and will one day welcome the rest of your loved with open arms.
It was an Honor to meet you this Monday in Washington DC. I am so sorry for your loss.
You should feel proud that Dario was highly respected in the CIA. He always
liked to eat Middle Eastern foods. The CIA has lost a great soldier. CS

Kirstin and family: We are very sorry to hear this sad news about Dario. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Such tragic news about Dario, who has given his life for his country. Dario's legacy is the light he has shone in dark places and the beautiful family he leaves behind.
I remember Dario as a cadet. He stood out for his height and high and tight haircut. Which he wore with that megawatt smile. What a loss to us all.
God bless you, Dario. Grip hands.

Deepest condolences to Kirstin, Arabella, Natalia, Aryanna, and the entire Lorenzetti family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this time of reflection. Dario has positively impacted all who had the good fortune to learn from him.
Kirsten, May God and His angels hold all of you in His warm embrace, as you struggle to recover from the horrific tragedy of losing your beautiful Dario. The hurt is deep and the pain unspeakable, I am certain. Always remember that God will see you through your grief as He and Dario walk beside you and your precious girls. Love never dies! I look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you, Dario for your ultimate sacrificial service to our country. And thank you Kirsten for being a supporting wife to one of American's finest.
Dario was a team leader in C-3 when I was a plebe in 1990 at West Point. One of the best leaders in that class and someone whom my classmates all respected. I am so very saddened by his loss and the fact that his wife and children lose such a great man so early. My deepest sympathies to you all

You and your family are in my heart and prayers
Thank you so much Dario, Lorenzetti family and his dear friends for the ultimate sacrifice. May God bless all of you and comfort your pain in this time of incomprehensible sorrow and pain. I was a classmate of Dario's at Nolan and knew he was destined to be exactly the man, father, husband, patriot and hero described so succinctly yet eloquently in his tragic obituary. God Bless America.

The Suttle family sends our deepest sympathies to the entire Lorenzetti family during your time of loss. We recently got to know Kirstin and the girls through a mutual children's activity, and while we did not have the pleasure and honor of meeting Mr. Lorenzetti personally, it was obvious he was a loving father and husband. We pray that peace, hope and comfort be with you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your girls are in our prayers here at Eviaspa.
On behalf of the West Point Society of Greater Houston, I offer my condolences to you, your daughters, and the rest of your family. If we can be of assistance, please contact us.
Kirstin, your girls, and the Lorenzetti family, my heart goes out you. My classmates and I knew Dario as a friend, some all the way from grade school and the rest of us as part of Nolan's class of 1988. We all say the same kinds of things about him: good friend, trustworthy, focused, dedicated, upbeat, involved; a grounded, true, salt of the earth kind of person. I bet he was an awesome father and everything else. I am profoundly struck by and sorry for your loss. I am heartened by the belief that I'm sure you have special and meaningful memories to sustain his presence and impact in your lives.
Dear Kirsten, you and the girls are in our prayers. I will miss seeing Dario in the street with the girls riding their bikes while he watched over them. I did not know Dario was in Afghanistan until this last spring when he was outside with the girls. I am so glad I got the opportunity to thank him for his service to our country. May God be with you through these difficult days.
I am a friend of the Jernigan family, who was unfortunate enough to never have met this fine man. My family sends love and prayers from Dallas. Our hearts hurt hearing about your tragic loss. Big hugs and kisses from me (Sarah), my fiance (John), my brother (Spider), and my 10 year old daughter (Peri). If there is anything we can do for you in Dallas, please let me know. My daughter would love to share her playroom with the others girls. :)
Dearest Lorenzetti Family, Thank you all for the beautiful and patriotic life of Dario. He was dearly loved by those who knew and met him. With love to all of you. Mrs. Josephine Koziol. Dario"s Honors English teacher from Naolan Catholic

Although it has been many years since I last saw Dario, I still have memories from SAS and NHS of a funny and kind boy. My heart goes out to his father, his wife, and most of all his little girls. Us kids from private schools in FTW all remember each other and I am sad that someone so special was taken so early. Dario served his
country with great pride and dignity and much sacrifice. My family honors his service and prays for you and your family. God Bless, Teri (Flores) Wilson

Please accept my deepest sympathy in your tragic loss. I had the pleasure of meeting "Tex" during his West Point years, he was a classmate and dear friend of my son. He spent time with us in our home during his time with the 101st. He was a great guy and a joy to be around. He touched all of us with his strong character and charm. Words cannot express how sorry I am. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Just came from Dario's funeral. It was a moving tribute to him. I went to School with Dario at SAS, he and my brother Tony were friends from grade school through high school. I had the biggest crush on Dario all through my time at SAS. My fondest memory from that time was Dario dancing with me at the middle school dance. I was in heaven!! :) My prayers are with all of you. My heart breaks for his wife and girls he leaves behind.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Dario Natale Lorenzetti our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Dario. And to Dario it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedoms while serving first in the U.S. Army and then with the U.S. State Department. Dario, you are a true patriot, who lived by the motto DUTY-HONOR-COUNTRY. You served with honor and distinction. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Dario's family and loved ones.

My deepest condolences to the Lorenzetti Family. I remember a young man who always had a smile upon his face. I pray that God will grant you all comfort during this hard time. Words cannot express how my heart hurts for you, Kirstin, and your beautiful daughters. May his love and kindness live on through you.
Dario was a couple of years behind me at SAS and NHS. However, he was a fellow scout in Troop 497. Dario *lived* the Boy Scout Oath and followed the Boy Scout Law. My dad was Scoutmaster for Troop 497 and he was certainly proud of Dario. He often remarked about "his Eagle Scouts" and all they went on to be. It was not a surprise to hear Dario was still working in service to our country.
I wish to convey my gratitude for having known Dario in my childhood, my gratitude for his service and your sacrifices, and most of all - my deepest sympathies for this loss.
Thank you for your service!
I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a great man. Men like him are what made our country great. He is a Hero and will be missed by so many. My love and prayers go to Kirsten and the girls.
