Though my time at BJ was a short 2-1/2 years, Jim had a profound impact on my life and my career. He gave me a huge break when he allowed me to transfer to the R&D lab in Arlington as a raw 21 year old. I later went back to school (at UT) and got my engineering degree and went on to a very a very gratifying life and career. I met my beautiful wife in Arlington as well. I remember how nice a family the Andersons were and the warmth and hospitality they showed me. Jim was a great mentor, manager and friend and I will never forget him. Donna and Brad, my thoughts are with you.

Jim was one of the greatest guys I have ever known, in the oil patch or out. When I trained under him at BJ he was always so patient and I could tell that he really cared and he wanted me to get the best training he could get me. He always had that sly grin on his face, which always made me wonder what he was thinking. He was such a great guy.
God bless you sir and Hook'em Horns!!!!

It is hard to imagine a world without Jim in it. He was a huge part of my life while growing up and shared many adventures with my dad and mom, Charles and Donna Smith.

I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Jim and working with him for many years at BJ Services. He will be missed and condolences to all of his immediate and extended family.
