To the Compton Family. I want you to know what an honour it was to meet your father "Buck" Compton in 2007 at Pegasus Bridge in Normandy, France, when our respective tours met. I was fortunate to receive his autograph and that of his fellow D-Day Comrade, Don Malarkey. When I shook Judge Compton's hand and thanked him for his service, he cupped my cheek in his hand and gave me a couple of pats. It was like being blessed. An unforgetable experience indeed! Please accept and extend my hearteflt sympathies to your family and friends at this time of loss.

What a man. Too bad we couldn't clone him. My father was a hero also and fought in WWII. Those men were something. God Bless you Sir, and have a wonderful journey ahead.
