I was honored to meet Buck for the first time in 2008 at the Easy Company Reunion in Salem, Oregon. The respect I have for him is immense. From one Police Officer to another Police Officer, you will never be forgotten. As long as there is air in my lungs your memory will stay alive. I pray you had a full canopy and a soft landing in Heaven. Rest in peace, Sir.

Bucks memory will forever live on. He was a legend and was one of many heroes. I flew from Australia to meet him only last year and he is the nicest man. Today everything I do I do for him. He is a true hero and a legend. His memory shall forever live on. I never thought it would hurt so much as I had only met him once but now as I right this I cry for him and in his memory. I salute him and have the utmost respect for him.

Saw Mt. Vernon newspaper front-page headline "I was Lucky" some years ago during a military event/Buck's photo & nice article--from there a retired Army MG and I helped arrange several speaking venues for him which he appreciated. Enjoyed meeting Shannon, his book, and Buck's warm hospitality at his home. A true Gentleman. HOOAH!
