Hi Dad,
It´s hard to believe it´s been 11 years since you went to Heaven. There´s not a day that passes that i wish you were here. I miss our talks. Last year was a tough year for me health wise but I felt you were with me each and every step of the way. Thank you for watching over me and letting me know I still had more things to do before joining you again. I´m retired now and life is very good. The only regret I have about retiring is that you weren´t here to see that happen but I know you were smiling at me from above. Until we meet again, I love you dad .

Hi Dad,
Its hard to believe its coming up on 6 years since you passed away. I miss you every day and am sad that we missed out on our talks about raising a family. Courtney has graduated from Seton Hall University and is working at Pfizer in NYC and Gina is going into her senior year in high school and were looking at colleges again. Wish you were here to talk to about the college process. Youd be proud of them both. Anyway, just wanted to let you know I love you and look forward to when we meet again. ❤❤

Dad,
It has been a year since you left us and although we are healing, I miss your loving ways. I wrote these words a year ago and they bring me fond memories as I revisit them today. I love you always Mar xxoo
Dad was the most loving father a child could have. His love and nurturing were ever present in the words he spoke, his attentive listening and gentle hand holding. Dad was a man who led by example, if you work hard and treat people the way you want to be treated things will work out fine.
Our conversations always opened with "How are things going Honey? To which I would then share the details of my day. The conversation would continue and he would ask is I had spoken to my brothers or sisters, which reminding me to reach out if we had not spoken in some time. He then asked about my husband Stephen and his family, always wanted to be sure everything and everyone in my life was good.
Although my Dad was not a man of many words, the words he did speak were powerful and the ones we did not speak were even more powerful. A few weeks ago we were sitting at the dining room table and Dad reached over and grabbed my hand, no words were said, his action demonstrating his love and affection.

Dad,
I can't believe that you are gone. You were here one day and now you are gone.
You were a great father and a role model as to what a father should be. You taught me that as a father, my primary goal was to provide for Donna, Courtney and Gina and to teach the girls about respect. I know that you worked as hard as you did when we were younger to provide us with the opportunities that you did not have. Your hard work provided me with the opportunity to go to college.
I know that you were very proud the day that I became a CPA and later a Partner in the Firm. I know you enjoyed telling people that I was a Partner in the Firm. It also made me proud to be able to make you proud.
You worked all the long hours at two stores yet never complained as you said "it was your job to provide for us". I have this same work ethic and owe that all to you. I try each and every day to be the type of father to Courtney and Gina as you were to me.
Life is much more hectic today than what it was like when I was a kid growing up. It seems like life was much simpler and there was more time available for family time. However, even as hectic as it is today, I still try to be like you and manage to get things done for the girls, putting their needs before mine as you did for me. I am like you in many ways when it comes to getting things no matter what time of the day it is.
One thing that I always remember was when you took me to our annual baseball game trip to Yankee Stadium when I was a boy. (Thank God you raised me as a Yankee Fan..hey that's what Italians are supposed to be!!)
One game I especially remember was June 8, 1969 when we went to Mickey Mantle Day to see his Number 7 retired by the Yankees. I always felt that when we played catch when you came home from work in the front yard that you were my Mickey Mantle, my hero, because of your example of what a father should be. It's ironic that you are being buried one day before they retired Mantle's number at the Stadium.
Well Dad, you are now up in the Stadium of Heaven looking over us now and are no longer suffering. For that I am glad that you are in no pain. I look forward to the day when we can play catch again like we did when we were both younger...I love you Dad,
