Mary,

I just read about Norman's passing in the Bar journal. Please accept my sympathies.

Norman and I started out together at about the same time, me with John Hill and Norman across the hall with Haynes and Fullenweider, in the Houston First Savings building. Norman really was a good guy, always affable, friendly and supportive. He always had a humorous observation to make about almost everything.

I moved to Austin in 1973 and did not see Norman again until about 1980 when we both attended the DG's parents day at UT. I enjoyed catching up with him.

Anyway, to echo an earlier comment, he really was a good guy.

I am sorry for you loss. I also worked for Norman as a clerk in the 257th District court. He was always very kind and understanding and compassionate. He also was a very fair Judge. He will be truly missed.

Mary: I wish I could be with you this moment. But, you know I am thinking about you right now. What a wonderful couple you always were. I could feel your love and devotiion when we used to be together. What wonderful memories I have of our friendship. My thoughts and prayers for you and your children. Much love, Barbara Lee
