Shirley Abramson Bell, age 88, of Houston, passed away on September 14, 2013. Funeral service Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery. Shirley was born on December 17, 1924 in Houston and was raised in Galveston. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1944 with a B.S. in Pharmacology. She worked for Walgreens for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bell and parents, Jennie and Sol Abramson. Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Harvey) Sherzer and Cindi (Henry) Hochman, grandchildren, Sheri (Jeff) Hodinko, David (Amanda) Sherzer, Erin Hochman, Lauren (Bryan) Rosenbaum, and Daniel Hochman and 8 great grandchildren. Donations may be made to Cong Beth Yeshurun, 4525 Beechnut, Houston, TX 77096; Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe, Houston, TX 77030; or charity of choice.

THROUGH LIBBY FEINGERSH I MET SHIRLEY. SHE AND I HAD A UNIQUE FRIENGSHIP AND I AM SO SORRY SHE SUFERED WITH HER FALL.
I SAW HER AT LIBBY'S FUNERAL AND WE TOLD EACH OTHER WE WOULD GO TO LUNCH SOON BUT WE NEVER MADE THE TIME.
I ADMIRED HER SO MUCH AND LIBBY LOVED HER TO PIECES. SHE WILL BE MISSED BY HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
