I was very sorry to hear about Bill recently. We went to grade school (Queen of Apostles- Riverdale, IL) and high school (Mt. Carmel-Chicago), and I fondly remember his great sense of humor. We lost track of each other after high school, but it warms my heart to read all the nice comments here. I'm glad Bill continued to be a great guy.

Cousin Billy was 11 years old when I was born. I remember being so excited to be at my grandmother's house when Great Uncle Bill and Billy came for a surprise visit. Even though I was very young, my memories of those visits are quite clear, and the words that come to mind to describe both Bill and my uncle are the same - kind, gentle, caring and happy. I loved going over to my Aunt Gerry and Uncle Bill's house to visit and was always so excited to see my cousins Billy, Mary Ellen, and Bobby. Though time and geographical space kept us from getting to know each other better in our adult years, Billy will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Bill was my boss & friend for over 10 years at Watts ACV. I think of Bill at least several times a week while driving, at Catholic Church or anytime I watch golf on TV. He taught me how to be good at sales and I tried to never let him down. He was always there for me for business & personal calls. I was lucky to know him and Marlena. I miss him now.

Sometimes we are lucky enough to meet a person who stands out among all other people as being extremely special, who is always there for us at all times, who knows what we are thinking about & what we need.
Sometimes we are lucky enough to meet someone who is extremely wonderful.

For our family, Bill was that special person.
We admired him for his passion for life, his integrity, love of family, and sense of fun.
You were truly a kind and generous friend, and you have touched our lives.
We often think about the time we spent together. Bill will live on through the stories we remember and share.
He will be with us forever.
God gave us a true friend that remains with us through the rest of our lives, not with us but in spirit.

Always on our mind .... Forever in our heart.
With love and thanks, always

It is hard to believe you aren't with us, but all that knew you will always remember your smiling face and joyous laugh. I hope you have met my parents, Bob and Mary, they went to heaven recently too. My Dad loves golf, so maybe you can play a round. He particularly liked the 19th hole, so you two should get on well. Mom will treat you like a son. Hugs, Jane
