What a truly wonderful person Nancy was - as a mentor, friend, teacher and believer! She believed that all students were gifted in their own way and could achieve anything and everything. I will never forget how she taught coloring - using rain as an example - it is how I have been teaching my grandchildren. Start at the top and go down - the same way you learn how to write. If only she could have been cloned! We truly need more teachers like she was. I uaed to stop by her house on Weber and have missed her since she went back home. Many of us from Booker El will always remember her for the great angel on earth that she was.
Omigosh! Too young, Mrs. Skaletski...too young you're gone. I recall her SO fondly as my son's 2nd grade teacher - what a heart of gold. He would be so thrilled when she would be outside her home on Webber St. and we'd drive by. He still remembers her with HUGE fondness - and he's 27! What a great lady! Our condolences to her family...
A wonderful, kind, generous, and loving spirit is with her angels now. I love you, Nancy! We were lucky to have had you in our lives.
Condolences to Nancy's family and her many friends and admirers. She had a giving spirit and a fun-loving attitude. She will be missed! God rest her soul.
Mrs. Skaletski was such a wonderful woman who made a tremendous positive impact on my son's early education. She will be remembered fondly by our entire family. Condolences to her family & friends.
My condolences on your loss. I enjoyed working with Nancy very much. She had limitless enthusiasm and did so much for our community without drawing attention to herself. It was always about the cause. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of parent, grandparent, active community member, fellow educator and supporter of her alma mater Denmark HS Nancy Skaletski. It was my pleasure to work most closely with Nancy when she and Sandra donated the Freedom Shrine to Denmark HS in honor of their parents, Jerome and Eleanor Kane. Her memory will live thru this most generous gift as future generations of students are reminded of our freedoms. May God Bless and keep you in your time of grief, may His face shine upon you and may He grant you His peace.

'To the family of Nancy's, she was a beautiful lady with a very giving heart. She will be saddly missed. God's ever loving blessings to each of you.
To the family of Nancy Skaletski, We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Nancy. I went to high school with her and recently enjoyed seeing her for lunches. She was an inspiration and accomplished much in her life. I was fortunate to visit her several weeks ago while she was hospitalized. Soon after we left for the winter in Fl. so I will be unable to attend the wake service or funeral mass. I do regret having to miss this however my prayers are with the family and for the repose of her soul. Our deepest sympathy. Dan & Dottie Wanish
As everyone knows, Mrs. Skaletski had a heart of gold. In most of our conversations she has always told me that I have a heart of gold. I believe, that everyone has the potential to have a heart of gold and they just need to be “Taught” how to use it. She was more to me than just my 1st and 2nd grade teacher. She has been there for me ever since the 2nd grade. She was at my high school graduation party and I believe for both of my college degrees. Mrs. Skaletski was also a dear friend to my grandmother Linda Benson, I remember when Beanie Babies where the “in” item for kids and I was allowed to be late to class as long as we got a Beanie Baby for her collection. Every time she called my grandmother she would ask what I have been up to and wish me well. I hope that heaven knows it has received my childhood living guardian angel and I know that she will continue to be my angel and teach me through the classes I take and life.
I will always remember your smile and your beautiful voice. Dance and sing with your angelic friends. We will see you soon!
We feel so blessed to have had you in our lives. You have been so inspiring to so many people, especially our family. I am sure He has welcomed you with open arms. You will be missed by many but your memory will last forever.
