Leicht, Donald H.
Donald H. Leicht age 75, of 620 East Linden Avenue of Manitowoc, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Next Step @ Felician Village.
Donald was born September 9, 1937 in Manitowoc son of the late Edwin and Magdalene (Stadler) Leicht. He attended school in Manitowoc and graduated from the class of 1957 from Lincoln High School. On September 17, 1960 he married the former Audrey Thone at Gjerpen Lutheran Church. Donald was employed at Lapcor Plastics, Dick Bros. Bakery, Dairy Queen and St. Andrews Catholic School. Donald was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Brewers and Packers fan.
Survivors include his wife: Audrey Leicht, Manitowoc; three children: Penny (Bill) Schneider, Newton; John (Karen) Leicht, Gurnee, IL; Mark Leicht, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Jennifer and Kristin Schneider; Newton; Jacob; Joshua; Jeremy; and Kaylee Leicht; Gurnee, IL; Matt; John and Stephanie Leicht, Manitowoc; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Donald Thone, Clarks Mills; Bertha Kulnick, Manitowoc; Raymond (Lorraine) Thone, New Holstein; Margaret Wisnowski, Sun Prairie; Kenneth (Mary Ann) Thone, New Holstein; Marlene (Leonard) Kohlmann, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews and all of his friends at the Dairy Queen. He was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law: Donna Leicht; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Betty Jane Thone; Ralph Thone; Charles Kulnick; Elaine Thone and Ronald Wisnowski; and two nephews: Jeffrey Thone and Terry Kohlmann.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc. Rev. Eric W. Kolonich will officiate. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may call on at the church Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is serving the Leicht family.
