Cora McCormack Obituary

Cora Mae McCormack age 98, of Elkmont, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. McCormack was born May 9, 1915 in Limestone County, AL to Joe David Bailey and Lillie Conn Bailey. A celebration of life will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jack Bailey and Steve Curtis officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery. Mrs. McCormack was a member of Wooley Springs Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for others, playing rook and going to church. Especially enjoyed her family and friends. She always put others first in her life and was good natured with a terrific sense of humor. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn McCormack; daughter, Mary Ruth Wagnon; grandson, Tim Wagnon and great-granddaughter, Harley Wagnon; son-in-law, Charles Cantrell. Survived by three sons, Tony McCormack and wife, Vickie of Elkmont, AL, Glenn Wayne McCormack and wife, Kathy of Florence, AL and David Kent McCormack and wife, Janie of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Clarice Cantrell of Elkmont, AL; brother, Floyd Bailey of Douglasville, GA; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Roger Craft, Larry Faulk, Wesley Abernathy, Joe Bailey, Brad Pylant and Lucian McCormack. Honorary pallbearers will be Friday night Rook players.
