Although I didn't know Steve personally, I wanted to offer my condolences to you for your loss. I just connected with Scott on FB as we discussed his book and memorial projects, and I shared with him that my father was an engineer who worked on the first generation of space rockets: the Apollo/Saturn projects. He started as a radar man in the Air Force and transferred to Boeing in New Orleans and then Cape Kennedy in Florida for the launches. He worked in the space program from the early 1960's until the rockets were discontinued in 1970. As a former space program family member, I appreciate Steve's contributions possibly more than the average citizen and want you to know that there is an entire network of families like ours who appreciate Steve's contributions to our country. I pray for you to find comfort and peace in the difficult days ahead and pray also for strength to all of you.
