Dear Mrs Brinkley,
I was honored to serve with your husband at my first duty station, almost 30 years ago when he was my squadron commander. He was hard, fair, and consistent-----values that I hope all military leaders strive to live up to. He certainly did and made a great impression on me as a young Soldier.
All best to you and yours---with greatest respect.

I had the great honor of serving as the Military Police Station Commander in support of COL Brinkley while he was the Commander of the 1st Sqd, 2d Armd Cav Ret and the Bindlach Military Sub-Community Commander at Christensen Barracks, Bindlach Germany. I can only say that he was "one of the best" and that our country lost a superior soldier and outstanding citizen.

Priscilla and Family
My condolences on your loss. I worked for your husband, for a number of years at HQ TRADOC and have many pleasent memories of that time (1980's). Especially, the trip I took with you and Tony to Germany (around 1988). I remember a wonderful evening having dinner with you and Tony and a number of your Germany friends (from the time he Cdr in Germany). Tony was a great leader, but a better person. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. I just wanted you and your family to know how much I though of Tony Brinkley as a person who cared about his people.

Priscilla, Bill, Chris, Josh and families,
My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. I know how hard it is to lose someone close. Even when you've been losing them in little pieces over time, such an abrupt end is difficult. Tony was a lot more to me than a former boss--he was a mentor and a close friend. Even after the encephalitis episode, I still relied on his advice and guidance. Take care my friends.

Mrs. Brinkley & family---
I met the colonel only a few times, but admired him greatly. I'm glad that I got to accompany Jeannette to visit with him in July. You and the family are in my thoughts and in my prayers---as is the colonel.
