What a shock...Jay made some of my worst days in high school bearable, he was one of a kind - thoughtful, generous, and funny! I will look for him next time I look at the stars! Leigh and family, I'm sorry for your loss and will ask God to comfort you.

I was absolutely stunned by the news of Jay's passing and spent the day awash in memories of our friendship when we were little fellas in Green Oaks. Playing army, watching cartoons, chasing the mosquito truck (on our bikes) - all the important stuff we did. Even our plot to help me fail 3rd grade so we could be in the same class. (it didn't work) God bless you. My heart goes out to you all.

I have never known a more enthusiastic, cheerful, and infectiously-positive person in my life. It was my privilege to share many a joyfully-muddy hour caving with Jay in years past. My heart goes out to his family -- I know he loved you all dearly.
