William Joseph Langford
William Joseph Langford, 84, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. Mr. Langford retired from the Army after 20 years of service. He was a well known member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the American Legion. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Langford was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Langford; grandsons, Timothy Michael Earls and Jason Lee Earls; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include wife, Clara Langford; son, Bill Joe Langford of Huntsville; daughters, Melanie Cantrell (Glenn) of Arab, Ellen Bradley of Arab, Joanne Earls (Alex) of Hazel Green, Vickie Davis (Mark) of Grant and Tina Hannah (Troy) of Nashville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Lora Langford Adams of Andalusia and Mildred Langford Parrish of Opp; stepchildren, Charles Grayson (Winnie) of Gurley, Randy Grayson of Huntsville, Shirley Kimbrough (Darris) of New Hope and Rebecca Grayson of Huntsville; five step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 at Huntsville Memory Gardens with Chaplain Bill Daniel officiating. (www.laughlinservice.com)
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 303 Williams Ave, SW, Suite 116, Huntsville, AL 35801.

I was saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was a great guy. Always a lot of laughs when he and Fred Medlen would get together. They both will be missed.
