"NEVER FAR BEHIND"
Daddy there's so many things I feel I left UN-said,
I always hoped I'd get the chance,I'm sorry I never did.
But I would like to tell you now, for all the world to see,
That you weren't just my Daddy, you were everything to me.
I never told you Daddy, when I was two and three,
How fun it was to sit, and bounce upon your knee.
Or the times that you would take, and swing me thru the air,
Oh what I wouldn't give, if I could go back there!
Daddy, did you know, that when you left for work each day,
I wanted to go with you, I tried to find a way.
Eventually I'd tire out, and climb up in your chair,
And peak thru that big window, I knew you'd soon be there.
Daddy's Home! I see him! He's coming up the walk!
I just cant wait to see him, I really need to talk.
I'll tackle him as he walks in, I know that he wont mind,
He'll know It's me cause where-ever he is, I'm never far behind.
Daddy did you know, I missed you so much today,
I'm hoping that tomorrow you'll stay home so we can play.
He smiled a great big smile, then held my little hands,
He'd say honey when you get older, I know you'll understand.
But Daddy didn't always work, he too got time to play,
And those were times that our whole family got to get away.
We didn't have a fancy truck, or a cabin we could rent,
We'd load up the old station-wagon, and then we'd pitch a tent!
I never told you Daddy, what these family times meant to me,
I just knew that when I was there, there was no place I'd rather be.
And in this great big old world,
I'm so proud to know that I am "Daddy's Little Girl."
So when the Lord came calling, for the time to take you home,
A part of me went with you, I couldn't bare for you to go alone.
And looking back now I can see, what I couldn't at the time,
I'm coming with you Daddy, you just can't leave me behind.

My Dear friend,
I just learned today of your passing. I have been looking for you for awhile now. I even left a note on your parents house on Canyon to try and re-connect with you. I am happy to read that you married the love of your life. That makes me feel good for you. We had some great times at West Jr High and the years that followed. I love you Sandy and look for my Son up there in Heaven. Until we meet again my friend...

To Our Dear Friend Sandra,
We are not only thankful for you being in our family's life but that you allowed us into yours. Maybe if not for Baby Girl it would not have happened. When you began to pasture Baby Girl at our place the best of relationships that anyone could hope for started. You always had a kind word for me and my family. Our sons always asked about you and Terry and of course Dusty. Belle, our dog, always looks forward to coming to your house to see Dusty and she knew you were an easy touch with bones and food. Sunday I was at the house talking to Terry and we noticed the dogs weren't playing the same. They now know someone is missing--the one lady in their lives they looked to spoil them. I remember last year when you brought Baby Girl over and you had a small saddle on her and you said it was for your young relatives and our granddaughters to use to ride Baby Girl. I remember the smile on your face when you saw our granddaughter driving her electric car. You always asked about them and had apples and carrots for them to feed Baby Girl. To scrape your corral and haul it off was my way of helping you and Terry and thanking you for all you both have done for me and my family. Because of you we had joy in our life. Because of you no matter how hard things could get you gave us a reason to smile. Right now there is pain in our hearts and tears that at times won't stop but it is all because of the love we have for you. In time we will find life easier to live without you but your memory will always be there. So I say to you, Sandra Kay, you will always have a place in my heart to my last breath.
