Charles Leland Haws
May 9, 1934 - September 14, 2013
Charles "Lee" Haws, 79 of Pocatello, Idaho passed away on Saturday September 14th, 2013. He was born May 9th, 1934 in New Dale, Idaho.
He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1952. He joined the Air force in 1953. During his service he received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, UN Service Medal and the Good Conduct Service medal. He was honorably discharged in 1957. He had a long and storied career with INEL.
While he was stationed in Massachusetts he met and married Lois Ann Ciancio. They had 2 daughters, Karen and Lisa. They later divorced.
He later married his high school sweetheart, JoAnn Dent and welcomed her two children, Richard and Margarett to complete his family.
Lee enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting fishing, golfing, and riding dirt bikes. He also took great pleasure in gardening and home improvement projects.
He is survived by his wife JoAnn Haws, siblings; Buzz (Norma) Haws, Helen Moore Maria (Clyde) Cazier, Children; Karen (Joe) Evans, Lisa Haws, Margarett Salazar, and Richard Shiflett, grandchildren Amber (Jon) Costos and Maggie (Jonah) Fuger-Bellamy and 3 great grandchildren.
As per Charles wishes no service will be held. The family will be holding an open house Friday September 20th, 2013 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at 941 Meadowbrook Lane, Pocatello.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America. http://alsfdn.org.
