I love people who hold the lamp high so the rest of us can see where we need to go. Afton was such a person. She lit the way for thousands of us. I look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Please know how much we all loved Aunt Afton. I always thought that she was a most "elegant" lady. I feel blessed to have known and have her as my aunt.

Sympathy to the Dahlquist Family at this time. Afton was a good friend of my mothers, and always spoke so well of her.Always appreciated what I learned from Afton about music, and how to make it more beautiful.
She was a good friend, always bright and cheerful, a sincere and kind woman.
She will be missed in many parts of our community.

A memory of the Dahlquists. We arrived at the George Hobson home at the same time for a wedding reception for one of my cousins. Winn got out of the car and called me to his side and asked me to see if I could coax Afton out of the car, she just wasn't feeling up to going in. It took very little charm and coaxing from me, she took my arm and we walked together to the reception in the back yard. Winn said that I was the best salesman that he had ever seen to have accomplished that.

Afton was always very kind to me, and greeted me with a smile and kind words and a hug. My Grandmother Norma loved her dearly. She will be missed by those of us left behind.

Oh, how I'll miss my sweet Cuz! We talked frequently about us being the last of the seven cousins. She was a delight to know and be associated with.
