I just want to thank Ed's family ofr such a brave GREAT man. He was truly a blessing to many ......I wish I too could have known him. My family was in the military and we had some scary moments over their safety, but maybe for a man like Ed, ours all came home alive. Maybe Ed rescued my brother in Nam....who knows. My brother never talked about Ed, but my brother was wounded over there. He didn't want to talk about himself or what happened, so I will never know, but just in case Ed saved him from that hell hole, I want to thank his family. May all of you be truly blessed by God our Heavenly Father.

Although out of touch with Ed (know to me as Captain Freeman) I am devastated by his loss. I served with him as a Crew Chief on the fixed wind L20 Beaver while we were both stationed in Managua, Nicaragua in 1962-63. A great pilot and good friend, he will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him...Dave Hickman
