Dear McGarr and Troyer families,
It is with deep sadness, and great joy that I read the ascendence of one of the brightest lights to her rightful position in the Firmament of Heaven (and the correct angle of the head tilt on the shoulder of our Lord). I knew Ellen at WCC for a brief time, travelled to see her during her exile in the North, and have struggled to find her again. Alas, I shall have to view her brilliance from afar (as usual, and as fitting).
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy, empathy, and a figurative casserole in your time of mourning.
Ellen is and will remain the most kind, generous, witty, thoughtful, brilliant, talented, and beautiful people I was blessed to meet. I am grateful for the time God allotted her here. She remains in my heart always.
