I am truly saddened that I never got to know you. I can tell that you were blessed with many wonderful stories and also blessed with many wonderful friends to keep your memory alive.

What a great way to leave this earth.Laughing....and much to her credit, she never even mentioned her age.Probably because a true Southern lady knows that a woman who would tell her age would tell anything.Prayers of comfort for the family. RIP, Ellen. I wish I had known you.

What a wonderful summation of what was obviously a well spent life. Heartfelt "Thanks" out to this stranger and to her family and friends. How fortunate you all were to have had a place in her adventures.

I have known Ellen all my life & am SO saddened by the news of ther death. Our fathers grew up together, too and our parents have remained friends. I can only assume that she was the author of her own obituary. How fitting, remembering her quick wit and kind personality. My condolences to Nancy & Sam & the rest of the family. I'm happy to know my sister has a familiar playmate in heaven!

I have never met this woman, but this is a wonderful way to go out with a few laughs. I am sorry for the families loss and will keep them in my prayers.
