art was a true gentleman and a great guy he will be missed
Art was abut 5 years younger than I but I remember him well as we grew up in Bellevue and attended all 12 years of Grade school and High school there. His brother Tom was a great help to my Mother and Aunt in their later years. My heartfelt sympathy to Art's family. Bob Drager, Oceanside, CA
Was very surprised to read of Arthur's passing. In high school, there was more than one morning when several of us began our day playing a few hands of poker before school in the Barratt kitchen.
Many years later, in 1993, as Mayor of Bellevue, I married Art and Peggy in his mother's yard. Happy to read that they had some good years together.
Sadly, that was the last time our paths crossed.
My thoughts go out to his surviving family.
Our prayers and support go out to the family. Art was a wonderful man and will be missed.
Uncle Art was a wonderful man. I have so many fond memories from times when I was little to times as a grown up. Riding on his motorcycle, tea parties with me,just sitting & visiting...his smile..his laugh and his big hugs. He will be greatly missed always. Love you Maria.
Uncle Art was "One of a kind" unique individual. You've heard of the "Favorite Uncle'...yes, he was. I'm so sorry we found out too late and can't make it there in time but I'm there in spirit. My best to Maria and family. I hope to see you again soon.
In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
The world was a better place because of Uncle Art. We will miss him always. Love you maria.
Sorry to learn of Art's passing. I know he was the light of Peggy's life.
I loved Uncle Art. I hadn't seen him much since i grew up. But I will always remember how fun he was. I still remember my first ride in his vette! Maria if you read this all my thoughts are with you and I am sorry I won't be there tomorrow.
Uncle Art was a wonderful, funny, smart and well loved member of my family and will be sorely missed. Wish I could be there with y'all. Hope to see you next summer.
One of my favorite people from my childhood. Sour dough pancakes and calling him Arthur Lee. (Everyone else I called him Art). I will always cherish those days. Maria, my thoughts and prayers are with you and wishing I could be there with you. Love you my dearests and oldest friend
