Ralph G. "Jerry" Bedal 1925 - 2012 Ralph "Jerry" Bedal passed away on October 3, 2012 at his home in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho. Jerry was born February 16, 1925 to Ralph and Myrtle Bedal. He married Joyce Roark on July 3, 1953. Joyce passed before him in December of 2010. He is survived by his three sisters Jeanne Davison (Toby), Betty Eddins, and Shirley Hubbard (Delbert), and numerous nieces and nephews. The adventure and love of the country started in the winter of 1946, when Jerry was part of a snowshoeing trip in Bear Valley, he spent virtually every summer there after camping with Toby Davison, the two made quite the imposing pair on their four wheelers. Jerry also split his camping time between Pioneerville, and Steck Park as well; he loved the Boise Basin and its history and Steck Park for the constant rumble of the freight trains. An accomplished musician, Jerry played music with a variety of local musicians, from dance halls to local radio station KBOI with Boxcar Willie and also played the old dance hall in Crouch, playing under lantern light as the hall had no power in those days. With his sharp wit, he kept all of his family and friends struggling to keep up with him. Few could. He will be missed by so many folks. We loved him.

Jerry was one of a kind. The Bedal humor still brings a smile to my face. He lived life to the fullest and brought much pleasure to so many.

Betty and Shirley, I enjoyed my visits with your brother. He was one of a kind with his sharp mind and always tinkering with something, even computers. One of the things I will always remember was Jerry's response to my questioning what happened with a fresh scar on his arm, he quickly said it happened when he was in a fight with an Indian and the Indian's arrow has grazed his arm. He had a way of making me laugh. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
