Dear Ross and Family,

Today I participated in a memorial ruck march, and shared Ross's story with my comrades. I shared how I met Ross working for an agency providing services to individuals with disabilities, and how Ross was also in school for nursing at that time, and in the Idaho National Guard; a full life of service at 21 years old. I shared how his life of service, and his passing - lit a fire inside of me, and inspired me to serve also. And in honor of him, I am doing just that. I am currently stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, serving as a Brigade Social Worker. I have the privilege of serving those who serve, and being an instrument of healing. I want you all to know that I still remember Ross, I remember his sacrifice. It was not in vain. Today we all remembered him, and walked in his honor.

I still think of you, and keep you in my prayers.

With Love,

CPT Taylor Rae

Missing you more and more as the years go on. You are so truly missed. I'd give anything to spend 5 more minutes with you and hear your contagious laugh. We love you. We miss you, forever and always. All gave some.. Some gave all.

To the family and friends of Spc. Ross A. Clevenger:
It has truly been my honor to sign Ross' guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Ross will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

Memorial Day 2012. I can't help but automatically think of Ross on Memorial Day, he was a remarkable and memorable young man. Five years later, it's still sad to think that we'll never hear that raspy voice or see his smiling face again. Mere words are entirely insufficient.

Dearest Ross, as you already know I am back in theater and this time, Afghanistan. This month has been the hardest, but I know you are watching over me, as you are always with me and in my heart. You are missed dearly by so many people. We love you, Always remembering, never ever forgotten
