I took Micron's Chip Camp the summer before 7th grade, about 2 1/2 years ago. At the end, Mr. Appleton and Mrs. Barbara Morgan were both in attendance at our "Ceremony of Completion. As we received our certificates and class pictures, they both would shake our hands. Rather than being distant, aloof, and cold, as you might expect a company executive to be, Mr. Appleton was kind, friendly, warm, and at ease, and seemed very happy to be there. He was just an amazing guy and I am SO grateful I had even that little chance to meet him. I also want to thank him for generously funding TVMSC (the Treasure Valley Math and Science Center) that I attend, without which I would have no hope of getting one of my dream jobs in math or science when I grow up. Thank you Mr. Appleton from all the young people you have helped to grow and prosper and for all the doors you have opened for them, particularly for young women. The world was made a better place by your amazing life and ventures.
