I was one of Fred Bridgement's pupils at Pine Ridge Public School. It was his first appointment & it was my first time at school. It was a bit of a shock for both of us. I must have been a trial for him, I certainly tried hard, but I do have very fond memories of him. Rob Tickle

Fred, together with Hazel were regulars at Wongawilli Colonial Dance Club for many years. They were always helpful with activities, loved their dancing and were great friends to us all. We miss them very much.

Dear Father,

You were a one of a kind person who held qualities that made you an exceptional grand parent.

Thank you for the time that we spent together.
I'll remember the (fierce!) competitions we had playing games like mini golf, backyard cricket, 10 pin bowling, darts, bowls and cards together. You'd take me fishing, to the beach and on drives to nowhere in particular. I remember hours spent in your shed where you always seemed to have ten projects on the go and being the taste tester for the latest batch of home brew you'd made.

I watched my first ever episode of Seinfeld with you and I can't see a set of saloon doors now without thinking of the ones you had on your laundry room. You kept a spare back door key behind the tapestry hung on the wall in your outdoor toilet and you always kept a stash of lollies that I tried not to eat too many of. I'd often become your assistant ground keeper up at Lake Heights School and even recently you'd always have a bad Dad joke ready to tell me.

It was a pleasure to be your grandson and you will be missed.

With love, Michael.

Fred and Hazel we're regulars at Wongawilli's Bush Dances and fondly remembered by so many of us who shared such lively fun together.
Sandra and I holidayed with them in Samoa sharing good times including snorkeling together.
We loved them and miss their sparkling fun selves.
Sandra Dunn and Tony Robison.
