My condolences to Jack's family and friends. During the 10 years I worked at DINFOS, I observed Jack's kindness to everyone on the staff. In the days when women were just beginning to make strides in the workplace, Jack supported the Federal Women's Program, and he initiated a Tuition Assistance Program which allowed several of us to complete our college degrees or to continue our studies at the college level. I believe Jack was a deeply kind man, and I appreciate the influence he had on my life.
To the family of Dr Jack Rubak
I had known him since 1963, and although we didn't run across each other in person after 1964 we always kept in touch. I valued his insight, his intelligence, his energy, and above all his friendship. I know that warm memories will keep him alive for you always. I grieve for you and with you.
I was unable to be at the funeral services today but want to express my condolences to Jack's family.
I met Jack in the early 1970's at DINFOS and came to admire and respect him during my three-year tour. He was always available for advice and proved to be the catalyst who guided the school to excel in a demanding new environment. He was a consummate educator who demonstrated great skill, patience, and foresight in a job that required considerable diplomacy and leadership. He was a friend who I always admired.
Good Bye Jack. You were such a sweet and kind man. Rest in Peace.
Goodbye to a longtime colleague and friend. Words cannot express how much those of us of the DINFOS family will miss Jack.
