Almost a year has passed since Jim's departure. I imagine that Jim demanded to be the navigator on his glorious trip to Heaven. We miss him so, and will see him on the other side in the not too distant future.
Lavern and family, we pray that your grief is mellowing into the great memories that you two made and shared together.
Best regards, Ron Hoff

Dear Laverne, Marty and I are so sorry to hear of your loss in Jim's passing. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family. We lost a classmate and a friend with so many memories I will remember forever. Jim was the "BIG" center on the '50/'51 Kewpies Basketball team and
carried us to shared 1st place finish.

Dear LaVerne and family:
It was both a privilege and a pleasure to have served as the Air Force student liaison officer while Col. Lee was deputy commandant of the Defense Information School. I have recalled many times in my career the effective way Col. Lee matched discipline and compassion. The result - a credit to him as a person and an Air Force officer - was top flight performances by all who worked with him. I am saddened at the news of his passing, but encouraged by his sustaining faith. Please accept my sincere condolences and prayers for comfort.

From, and on behalf of the 98th Air Refueling Sqd Vets Assn: We extend our deepest sympathy to the Lee Family. Jim devoted so much of himself to this unit. He was a man of great integrity and moral character and served his country and the public with a high level of energy.
Life, here on earth is but a stopping place. As you continue down your own trip to infinity, may your grief for this grand man lessen and turn to fond memories. May looking back to yesterdays help comfort your tomorrows. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
