Dad, It was a month ago today we held your memorial service. The reality of your passing has set in and several of my friends have told me I would pick up my phone and try to call you. I want you to know how proud it made me feel to see all of the people who came by to pay their respects to you and our family. Your positive effect on so many lives makes me proud to be a Whittaker. Zach and I will do our best to carry on our family name and honor your legacy.

Judy and I just returned from our "bucket list" trip to Australia and New Zealand and were gone for nearly all of February. Just back in the office today and was completely stunned to hear about Warren. Susan, it seems like only yesterday we were on the same flight to Phoenix with you and Warren. Please accept our deepest and most since sympathy for your loss. Warren was a stellar agent and one of the best role models there ever was. In addition, he was the most fun-loving, caring and compassionate individual and I know he will be sorely missed by you and the family as well as his staff, clients and friends. God bless. Dick and Judy Laird.

Patti and I share your pain with Warren's passing. He meant so much to so many. I have lost a true friend.
I hope that you are fortunante in your life to have a job that you love and coworkers you get along with and a boss who is good to you. Warren Whittaker State Farm was just that for me. After nine years, I have come to call this office my family.
Warren took me onto his team even when he didn't have room or an extra desk for me. He has been such a huge part of my personal growth and I am thankful for everything he has done for me and my family. He truly cared for the people in his life and he showed it on a daily basis.
I'm going to miss my boss, my mentor, my friend.
Dear Susan and Family,
When I heard this about Warren I couldn't believe it. Today I wept when I read his guest book. He has touched many lives, been a mentor to so many people, encouraged so many to be better. Always sharing, always helping and always leading with love and passion. He was a great man. He has left the world a better place for the lives he has touched. He has a wonderful spirit. I for one will continue to try harder to be like him.
Warren was bigger than life. He will be deeply missed. I'm glad I our lives crossed paths.
Warren helped me in so many ways. I appreciated his many encouragements. He will be sorely missed.

My brother Ed and Warren were close friends, and my wife and I had the pleasure of spending time with Warren and Susan here in Florida. He was a real gentleman , and maybe the Lord needed someone kind near Him to offset all the darkness that He sees in the world today. Tom and Marsha Aide
I will never forget the times Warren has sat me down and talked to me as if I was his own daughter! His caring and friendship will be with me always. Peace be with you all at this very hard time.
Makes me very sad to look thru the photos. I remember his passion for his business and his zest for life. What I admired most about Warren is that he worked hard and played hard. The world lost a top notch human being, husband, father, grandfather and boss. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Warren Whittaker. He and his team have provided us with many years of the best insurance service available while making us feel like we were "one of the family." Our sincere condolences to his family and team. He will be missed by all.
Warren was a giving man, a man who would drop what he was doing to help a fellow State Farm person and I suspect he would do that for anyone else as well. That was the kind of man he was. You could count on Warren. A good friend and colleague, Tom McBride often talked about Warren and how much he valued their personal and professional relationship because of the many great attributes Warren possessed. Warren will be missed as we have missed his good friend Tom. I am confident they will meet again in God's house and have some laughs about the "good ole days". For Warren's family, you'll never forget and you will never want to! Good people will not be forgotten, but sorely missed!
Susan- Sending you Hugs with such a heavy heart. Haleh & Erick Krauter

Having been blessed to be part of Warren's remarkable Team, I got to see on a daily basis his passion for life, his fierce competitiveness, and his commitment to his family, his Team, and his clients.
Warren was the most driven person I ever met, and he believed deeply in helping people.
While I have a sadness and pain that is impossible to describe, I find great comfort in knowing Warren is not suffering and is with the Lord.
Thank you, Warren, for making such a positive difference in the lives of so many people.
You will live in our hearts forever.
Warren was a great man of faith. He was an outstanding mentor to so many people in different walks of life. He was the kind of person who elevated everyone's game that he was around-whether it was golf or work or having fun. We have traveled many places with he and Susan and they had a great zeal for life no matter what the adventure was. They made it fun for everyone to be around them. We will miss him terribly. I was in a public place when I received word of Warren's passing and was so stunned I was momentarily tended to by strangers. But while I continued and continue to grieve for the family, my thoughts quickly turned to the fact that Warren is in a better place and how blessed I am to have crossed paths with and been able to call him my friend.
Warren's faith in God, unending devotion to his family, zeal for life, professionalism in his business, and unselfish desire to help his friends and community have created a legacy we can all lean on from time to time.
I sure hope there is golf in heaven so one day again I'm able to play with my great friend.

Susan & family,
I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Warren was such a wonderful person, very giving of himself, his time and talents. Since meeting him 10 years ago, I've had nothing but the utmost respect for him. He gave me advice when I started my business years ago, and has been a role model, someone I aspired to be like as I have ran my business. Praying for peace and comfort for you all.
Warren's zest for life was contagious! His grandson Zach called him the most competitive person he knew! I'd agree. I am blessed to have him call me the daughter he never had. Not only was he my father-in-law, he truly was like a second father and mentored me through many of life's decisions. The experience and knowledge I gained working as his Office Manager is priceless to me! He had a true passion for what he did as a State Farm Agent. He was looking out for you and your family! Protecting from the unexpected . He strived for excellence in everything he did. He pushed everyone to be at the top of their game....whatever that might have been. I know the good he did for the citizens of Beech Grove, the students of Beech Grove High School, and the hopes of Main Street! Our State Farm Family is changed forever and his Team is beyond devastated by his passing. I am blessed to know that the last thing he heard me say was that I loved him and that his team loved him. He was our driving force, our Rock!!! I will cherish every memory and miss him for the rest of my days! One last hug until we meet again......
Had ins with him for 30 years. A true gentleman. He will be missed. Melinda Ward
The owners of The Whistle Stop Ice Cream and More had recently became acquainted with Warren thru business and friendship. We are deeply saddened by his loss. In a very short time we were able to see what an honorable person he was. So kind and generous with everyone. A sad loss by all who knew him and a community that admired him. We will forever think of Warren when someone blows our train Whistle which he never failed to blow on it and laugh when he came in. May his family and friends find peace in this loss and know he has moved on to a better place.
The golf world lost a true golf competitor but more importantly a good friend, father and husband! Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family Susan! Thanks for the memories Warren, you will be missed...
I feel very blessed that I had Warren in my life for so many years as my sister married him when I was 21. Gathering eggs, wearing brown high top shoes, catching footballs wildly thrown, cranking out records on the Victrola in the living room, building forts and tepees, picking rocks, picking rocks, and picking more rocks. We share so many memories that seem unique in today's world. I will never do those things with another person. You were a great brother in more ways than I can count.
